His wife Clare is vaguely aware of what is going on and eventually finds herself in a similar situation with Jane’s boyfriend Nick. Nick has managed to pass himself off as George’s psychiatrist. A general confrontation occurs with the arrival of Jane’s father Jack. In the final scene mistaken identities abound

Director’s Note

Welcome to our winter production. Little did I think when I started with the society about thirty years ago that I would have been directing any of the plays. Having had various acting parts, painted scenery, working in the kitchen or front of house made me realise just how much hard work goes into each and every production.

I have really enjoyed my time with the society. We have always had tremendous support from our audiences who hopefully enjoy each production. We attempt to do something different each time. This play challenges the cast in terms of moves on a small stage and also demands some difficult cross over lines.

For this play we have a split set. Both cast and stage management have once again come up trumps. I would like to thank everyone for their patience and also for their input
in terms of ideas. Hopefully they have enjoyed rehearsals.

We would be delighted to see anyone who would like to join us in whatever capacity. If you do not want to act we are always grateful for help with stage management or front of
house. We would particularly welcome younger members as some of us are getting a bit too old to play young romantic male leads. I do hope you enjoy the performance and will
continue to support us in the future.
