Rehearsals
I have never seen so many props in one play, the green room looks like the backstage of the RSC! Rehearsals are coming along nicely, everyone is working really hard and the cast have nearly all learned their lines! I think the audience are going to really enjoy this play, I haven’t laughed this much since…well, since the last play! We have had some guest appearances along the way, so thank you to those people who have helped us out! The stage is now almost set and the lighting and sound is on track; now we just need to get the hundreds of props sorted and everything will be fine!

Friday First Night Success
The sell out audience really enjoyed the opening night of this comic production. On the first night of any performance you’d expect there to be some opening night nerves or forgotten lines, but it was a mark of how good the BATS cast and crew were that everything went perfectly for the first show.
Stand-out performances in a production of this standard can be difficult to isolate, but the audience really responded to Victoria’s (Julie Greenwood) and Melanie’s (Jan Hoggan) performances of ‘Polly Put My Stockings On’, ‘Recycling Muddle’ and ‘Mother Lover’! The audiences for the remaining performances are in for a real treat, so if you haven’t got a ticket, I suggest you do so quickly.
Dress rehearsal goes well!
The stage lights are on, the curtain is up and the audience has bought their tickets. The cast are having great fun with the dress rehearsal for next weeks ‘The World Premiere’ production. A sneaky peek behind the scenes of the technical and dress rehearsals has captured some revealing images.
Monday is another dress rehearsal, then the first public performance is on Friday 8th April 2016 at Murton Methodist Hall. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic show and just needs one more element: the audience. Seats are still available, so maker sure you do not miss this intriguing and funny production.
