Synopsis
An amateur drama company is rehearsing in the theatre at the end of the pier. Storms rage overhead and the doors are locked – they are trapped! Then a mysterious, ghostly presence passes across the stage, and when the Assistant Stage Manager falls to certain death through a trapdoor, the remaining actors are thrown into disarray. Their panic increases when one of the actresses is poisoned and it becomes evident that a murderer is in their midst…

Producer’s Note
Welcome to our first production of the twenty-first century! You will have noticed that we have, reluctantly, had to put up the prices of our tickets. The costs of producing a play go up annually and it is some time since we last increased our admission charges. The following figures may surprise you:
- 13 play books at £5.75 each plus P & P: £82.23
- Royalties at £39 per performance: £195.00
- Hire of hall plus electricity: £382.67 (this figure is for our last production)
Costs vary from play to play but these are three of the main expenses before a ticket has been sold.
The total raffle money last November was £286 and benefited the Evening Post Cancer Appeal, the Church Millennium Window Appeal and the Hall Restoration Fund.
